United StatesAnonymous says the character's schizophrenic, not depressed. While Anonymous's depression may be of the more typical type, there is such a thing as major depressive disorder with psychotic features. I think this is the intended diagnosis in the film. There are also several other disorders that can cause psychosis.
United StatesIt seems that the purpose of this video is to help destroy stigma in regards to mental health disorders, but I think does the opposite. Throughout the video it seemed to be that if a person gets help then that means that they are making their mental health issue public. This is so not the case. Therapy is private, medication is private - an no one has to know that you are getting help. Someone who gets the help they need will keep thier illness under control, and therefore will keep it the most private. It is people who don't get help, like Zehava in the beginning that people start to feel that something is off. Going for help means keeping it private not the other way around. Please get the help you need, and know your mental health will stay completely private!

United StatesI heard about this video, and decided I had to watch it, because I have been diagnosed with severe depression, and was curious to see how it was portrayed in the video. It was interesting to see that the mother who had 'depression', was actually showing many symptoms of schizophrenia, in addition to depression. People who are depressed don't just hear and see things that aren't there. The paranoia is also a sign of schizophrenia, and not depression. The sadness and confusion signals depression, but she definitely had schizophrenia. I loved the video, and it definitely provided lots of comedy relief. Thank you Malky!!
