The singer Eli Friedman is considered one of the most esteemed artists in chasidic music and has brought with him a long list of musical compositions for the High Holidays, from “Hineni Oni” to “Mechalkel Chayim” etc.
For 17 years, this special song “Minhag” sat in Friedman’s drawer, but only now he decided to release it when it was added to his new album, which will be released at the beginning of the winter.
The single is an up-to-date and sweeping rock adaptation created by Jeff Horvitch with the words from the ‘Tfila Zaka’ which we say in shul right before Kol Nidrei on Yom Kippur.
