NEW FEATURE: ARTIST BIOS – SHLOIME GERTNER

JMR is extremly excited to present another new feature, as we continue to be your number one destination for all your Jewish music news and information. JewishMusicReport is the ONLY website dedicated 100% to Jewish Music – and nothing else. We have continued to grow into the largest website on the internet that covers Jewish Music with over 10 writers on our staff, and we are proud to introduce yet another, who will be doing artist bios.  First up, the great Shloime Gertner!

Shloime Gertner is a talented, chasidishe yungerman from Stamford Hill, London.

He started his career in full swing in 2007, with an album titled ‘Nissim’ – produced through TeeM Productions with songs composed by Yossi Green, Pinky Weber, Lipa Schmeltzer, Yossi Gurwitz,  Avrumi Berko and Eli Laufer. The musical arrangements were done by Ilya Lishinsky, Moshe Laufer, Leib Yaacov Rigler, Shai Bachar, Dudi Kalish, Eli Laufer and Heshy Ginsburg.

Shloime’s singing career continued to flourish and in 2010 he brought out an album called ‘Say Asay’.  This hit album had 14 tracks composed by Yossi Green,Pinky Weber, Yitzy Waldner, Yitzy Gurwitz, Motti Illowitz and Baruch Levine and was also produced by Yossi Tyberg and Gershy Moskowitz of Teem Productions . Musical arrangements were done by Leib Yaakov Rigler, Moshe Laufer, Eli Lishinsky, Shai Bachar and Yisroel Lamm.

While Shloime has not released a new album since that time he has appeared on Sheya Mendelowitz’s Big Time Alter Heim, as well as singing in some really big live concerts, with Mordechai Ben David, Lipa, Avremel (Avraham Fried, 8^th day, Miami Boys Choir, Yehuda Green, Benny Friedman, Baruch Levine, Michoel Schnitzler, Dedi, Ohad, Yaakov Shwekey, Hasc 24 & 25 and many more.
