Yabba Ye: Lo Tenzhou Oti

“Lo Tenatchu Oti” is the second single from the debut album of the rock band Yabba Ye. This song and beloved hit was first released in 1984 by Yoram Gaon. Now Yabba Ye releases a updated and surprising version of rock.

After years of an extensive musical career in the field of chasidic pop, Yishai Lapidot and Amiran Dvir established a NEW Israeli rock band called YABBA YE. The new album was released last month from which the first single “Bachiti VeTzaakti,” will feature original music with refreshing innovations Israeli and Jewish classics including ‘Lo Tenatchu Oti’ by Naomi Shemer, who was elected to be the second single.

The band includes six artists and is very unique with a variety of musicians that have a personal background ranging from world religious and secular including: Amiran Dvir, Yishai Lapidot, Matan Rahav, Eldad Orlev, Dudi Sater and Meir “Pupik” Plotnik. The mosaic of music that the band creates is a unique DNA that allows the public both secular and religious melodies and texts connect. Each band member brings his own unique musical background to the group.

Amiran Dvir is a world renown keyboardist and started performing at the age of five at concerts around the country. When he was seven his father was chozer betshuva and established a Jewish band. Dvir accompanied his father and from an early age he played and performed at various events. He later worked with first class musicians. He has directed and performed by performances throughout the Jewish world of Hasidic music with such star singer as; Mordechai Ben David, Avraham Fried, Yaakov Shwekey, Dudu Fisher and others.

Yishai Lapidot began his musical career just as a composer, and wrote many songs from artists of Jewish music, including Dudu Fisher, Avraham Fried, Yeedle, Tzemed Roiim, and more. At the same time he presents “Ishi Bashishi” – his popular radio program, and instructs the TV show – “Chamisha Beakavot Haparsha” on Channel 10 every Fri.
Lapidot identified perhaps more than any with his group Oif Simche and Kinderlach them appeared around the world but for years dreamed of to express his love for the genre also includes Distorshiin special guitars and rock rhythms that do not sound Jewish music regularly. Recently as a member of Amiran Dvir and they formed “YABBA YE” and now present to you the second single.
