SHAULI Kumzits @ Deli 52 [Photos+Videos]

This past Thursday night Yoely Berkowitz the owner/manager of BoroPark’s famous Deli 52 wanted to try something new to interest his customers and bring in new business. People love music and Kumzits, so why not combine the two on a Thursday night when people come in for Deli 52′s famous Guttman’s Cholent, over night potato kuggel or sweet/spicy kishke shouldn’t they get some live music too. Yoely reached out to radio personality/marketer/music maven Yossi Zweig, who didn’t have to think to long before he said SHAULI. Singer and songwriter SHAULI entered the Jewish music market back in 2009 with his debut EP Simcha Belibi. Since then he has released three singles which are all available as FREE downloads on his new website www.shaulismusic.com and has collaborated on a fourth.

For over two hours SHAULI thrilled the residents of Boro Park and the customers of Deli 52 with just an acoustic guitar. Not only did he perform his own material but he did a number of Carlebach hits and some of Yitzchak Fuchs songs. Surprisingly SHAULI sang some popular manistream hits like Benny Friedman’s hit Yesh Tikvah and Yaakov Shwekey‘s Cry No More. For one song SHAULI was even joined by his friend Yehuda Grama who is featured on his Simcha Belibi album.
Below or some photos and videos from the event.
