Five years after releasing his debut album, “Sach Hakol” which has achieved gold album, selling over 30,000 copies and left wanting more, composer/arranger/singer Yonatan Razel returns with an all new album “Bein Hatzlilim“. The album contains 10 songs including songs written and texts and tunes from the musical production sources: Eviatar Banai.
Razel, a native of New York came to Israel at a young age as a child. He studied classical music, learned to play the piano and cello, composition and conducting. As a young man he took a record composition with his brother. He then enlisted in the army where he proved to be an outstanding musician. He went on to study conducting and afterward worked as a conductor at the Israel Chamber Orchestra and Symphonette Raanana and then appeared with various orchestras.
In 2007, he released his debut album “Sach Hakol” with musical producer Eviatar Banai which was a great success and has achieved gold album status. In 2008, the hit song “V’he Sheomda“, composed and arranged by Razel, was performed as a duet with a Chasidic singer Yaakov Shwekey at the historic concert held at Caesarea, and the great success and recorded many cover versions.
In 2011 Yonatan won a prize by ACUM. Razel often appears all over the world, performing solo and with orchestras and continued to work conducting and arranging. He is married and has four children divides his day between writing and Torah learning musical creation.
