Raising the the bar of musical entertainment, Choni‘s eclectic mix drawing on different ethnic and cultural streams of music, with his free flowing style and comfortable stage presence, produces a refreshing synergy that pulsates through the vibrant events where he’s performed in Cape Town, Johannesburg and around the world.

On June 11 “ Choni Unplugged” opens his first solo night for the public at the Joburg Theatre with a versatile mix of Jewish classics re-worked and some of his own compositions.

Between numbers, he will guide you through their history and background adding depth for a meaningful spiritual evening as well.

His honey golden voice with renowned guitarist Johnny Sklar‘s warm finger picking style makes for a beautiful artistic combination.

Recorded live to be released later this year as a CD, you’re invited to join Choni on yet another monumental step of his journey into the horizon of a rising star. Following on his stellar performance in NYC’s “a Jewish Star event” he will soon be returning to the USA for a number of performances and recordings.
