Flatbush Residents Jam The Palace on Behalf of RCCS Cancer Patients

Avraham Fried Emergency Stand-in for MBD

This past Motzoei Shabbos, The Palace ballroom was jammed end-to-end for the Third Annual RCCS Flatbush Dinner. Proceeds of the dinner went to help subsidize insurance premiums for cancer-stricken patients in Flatbush.

Despite the seriousness of the evening, there was a festive feeling in the air as many community awards were bestowed upon the evening’s honorees by Elly Kleinman, the dinner chairman, and by Rabbi Yosef C. Golding, RCCS Executive Director.

A stirring and passionate speech was delivered by Reb Hershel Kohn, RCCS founder and president, in the presence of the leading Rabbanim from the Flatbush community. The assemblage sat in awe throughout a nine-minute video presentation, A Decade of Miracles, in which many former RCCS recipients thanked RCCS for the miracle that was performed for them, facilitated by RCCS largess.

Uplifting musical entertainment was provided by Avraham Fried, who filled in last-minute for an ailing Mordechai ben David, the Hamezamrim singing group, Yeedle, and special guest star, Yossi Green, who played and sang MIRACLES, the RCCS theme sung he composed especially for RCCS.
