Introducing “Hakol Habah – The Next Voice” In Jewish Music

January 30, 2015 2 min read

After many years of reality TV shows gaining tremendous popularity throughout the world, now finally the Chareidi world can enjoy a program that is similar in function but maintains strict adherence to Halacha, without compromising on any production value. FDD Productions under David Fadida in partnership with Radio Kol Chai is producing a singing competition program for the Motzash Chai program on Radio Kol Chai, hosted by Menachem Toker. During the course of the competition, tens of competitors will audition on the stage opposite a panel of judges including Dr. Mordechai Sobol, Ohad Moskowitz, Aryeh Broner, Chaim Yisrael, and Adi Ran, and will try to win their hearts and merit the title of “Hakol Habah-The Next Voice” in the world of Jewish Music. The winner will record a full album produced by the duo of Eli Klein and Yitzy Berry, and will be given a stamp of approval by David Fadida’s office.

The first part of the competition will be a slew of auditions, where the competitors will give it their all to try and turn the judges’ minds towards their performances, and they will be voted on by the judges as well as people at home via the phone or the website of the show. After filtering through the contestants and picking out those that will move on to the second part of the competition, where they will compete in front of thousands of viewers.

Unlike a number of others competitions that have happened in the past similar to this, what makes this stand out against the others is the high production value level that is being put into this show. David Fadida, producer of the show, has discussed some of his full days’ worth of preparations for the show, many rehearsals on similar stages, and rehearsals of different performances, in order to minimize any technical difficulties during the live show.

“When Avi Rosen, head of Kol Chai came to me and asked me to produce this show, I knew right away that I was “in.” My vision was to bring really high quality productions to the religious community without compromising on even the tiniest details, yet at the same time, maintaining the strictest adherence to Halacha. I’m delighted that Radio Kol Chai has removed the stigma and has been brought along to develop the show. For 15 years already I have initiated new singers that I chose and believed that they were quality singers and good enough to be at the front of Jewish international music. Now I anticipate and look forward to hearing what the worldwide audience thinks and who they will choose.”

Again, the show will be broadcast every Motzei Shabbos during the program Motzash Chai hosted by Menachem Toker starting this week and recorded live. It will also be available on the website Kol Chai.
