There is a new rising star in the European Jewish music scene. Avraham David is a 29 year old father of two who lives in the city of Strassbourg, he is an accountant but in the final stages as well of getting ready to release his debut album “Yahalomim-Diamonds”.
He used to sing with his father since the age of 4, who taught him about the world of Chazzanus as well. His musical connection grew and developed, and he taught himself to play piano, as well as drums and percussion instruments, and as time went on, he also developed a love for guitar and saxophone, until his internal world became more and more intertwined with the world of Jewish music. Slowly but surely he developed his own unique musical genre, and began to sit next to the piano and compose his first few songs.
After he got married, he began building a concert and event calendar, around his city of Strassbourg at first, which enabled him to begin traveling around the rest of Europe as well, such as Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and France. He loves singing in Israel, and he also serves as a Baal Tefillah in one of the shuls in Los Angeles for the Yomim Noraim.
His album “Diamonds” was produced by Levik Tubul, and composed and arranged by Moshe Laufer, Yitzy Waldner, and Avraham David himself. Most of the arrangements were done by Moshe Laufer, and the rest by Yoni Eliav, Shai Barak, and Udi Damari. Ken Burgess and Miriam Yisraeli also contributed to some of the lyrics on the album.
Shimi Li is the first single off the upcoming debut album.
