The first time that Avraham Fried sang the song Rak Tefillah, the famous and beloved Israeli song, it is remembered to many as the moment that proved that powerful words take on new meaning when sung by a truly soulful and deep person who brings them close to his heart and expresses them with every ounce of his feeling. From the success that accompanied that song, Avraham Fried continued to release more Hebrew songs, which have become standards in Israeli cultures, almost like actual anthems.
Since then, Avraham Fried’s team is constantly turned to by composers and other Israeli artists who want to write something for Avraham. Fried must have heard hundreds of Israeli compositions over the years, and soon he will release his new album, which will be completely Israeli/Hebrew songs.
This past weekend opposite 6,000 audience members, Avraham Fried opened up his massive summer concert in The Sultan’s Pool in Yerushalayim with a performance of this single “Yerushalayim Ba’Leiv”, the title track off of the upcoming album.
