Two Houses,Three Performers: A Song of longing for Teffillin

A new and special composition has been created in honor of a beautiful upcoming Bar Mitzvah in New York. Lyrics and melody written by Rav Shlomo Meir Hoffman Shlit”a, the beautiful production was done in Israel by Yehudah Galili, and the song is sung by Ari Hill, Shalom Zilber, and the child Tuvia Greenstein who all perform together.

“The song, originally written in Yiddish, expresses our love and the strength of our connection to tefillin” explains Rav Hoffman. “At the moment, it is a single, but we are planning and preparing for a full album beezras Hashem.”

In a loose translation, the meaning of the words is: Tefillin, we put you on in order to help us win against the evil inclination. Tefillin, stay with me forever and help me imprint on in heart ‘Shma Yisrael, Hashem Elokeinu, Hashem Echad’.
