The words of Acheinu Kol Beit Yisrael are very powerful at times of great difficulty for Jews. Ovadia Hamama felt very connected to these words during the time when the three boys were captured and killed two years ago.

Just one day before the bodies of the boys were found, there was a mass prayer rally in Rabin Square in Tel Aviv with R’ Dovid Lau and R’ Shmuel Eliyahu. At the rally, they sang Acheinuover and over. He then composed this new tune for the words, for which he recruited Yehoram Gaon to sing.
