Jewish singer Benny Friedman, with a successful debut album behind him, is returning to one of his early fan bases: Agoura Hills, California.
Back in the day, Benny served as a High Holiday Chazan at Chabad of Calabasas (for six years). He also preformed at Chanukah in the Park, CityWalk and other South California venues.
“He’s long been known and loved in our community,” says Rabbi Moshe D. Bryski, executive director of Chabad of Agoura Hills and dean of the Conejo Jewish Academy.
Bryski (narrating) and Friedman (singing) will be appearing on stage together February 22 for the fourth “Songs & Stories – of Hope and Joy” concert at The Canyon Club, 28912 Roadside Drive in Agoura Hills.
Organizer of Chabad said it will be “an incredible evening of song that express the joy and exuberance that has made us transcend the vicissitudes of the times.”
“Benny has created an incredible following on the East Coast as well. His Thanksgiving performance in Mumbai, India was broadcast live worldwide over the internet to international acclaim.”
One of the songs Friedman will be singing will be he the known “I Believe,” which he rehearsed for in a studio. (Article Via ColLive.com)
