Did Someone Say Free?

by Kol Isha February 09, 2009

Okay. By a show of hands. How many of you out there gave up your music lessons when you were a kid because the songs were so awful? Uh huh. That’s what I thought.

A quick survey of the piano books in my house yields these exciting favorites: “Skipping Frogs”, “Circus Fun” and the ever popular “Waltzing Elephants”. Is it any wonder boys and girls all over dread their music lessons?

Thankfully, times have changed. Free Jewish sheet music abounds on the web. And if you like to listen to it, chances are good that you can get free sheet music for it. These days, most singers have their own websites, many of which have free sheet music. Even some of the ones that don’t post sheet music are nice enough to share, if you ask them nicely.
