Adir – Luzy Klatzko & Meyer Klatzko – Composed by Benzion Klatzko

Since Covid began, Rabbi Benzion Klatzko has been releasing his many beautiful compositions to the world. It is amazing how one person can compose music in so many different genres! The key to Rabbi Klatzko‘s music is in the heart and soul that the music shares with the listener. Songs like the late great Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, that are neither old nor new, but timeless in their beauty and message. Rather than rely on musical arrangements to carry the song, Rabbi Klatzko offers a melody that speaks for itself, whether sung with full orchestration or merely acapella. it should come as no surprise that Rabbi Klatzko is a Levi!

Rabbi Benzion Klatzko has been composing music since he was a young teenager. He has worked with Abie Rotenberg, Sruly Wulliger, Moshe Medlowitz, Pinny Schachter, Shmuel Kunda, and many more. His first published song was “Wings – Al Kanfei Nesharim” on the All-Star cassette with Avraham Fried and MBD.

When Benzion Klatzko was 16 years old, he composed this beautiful song, “Adir Adireinu.” The song spread throughout the Yeshiva world, with yeshivos like Staten Island and Ner Yisrael singing it from the amud.

Eventually, Rabbi Klatzko was brought in front of Rav Moshe Feinstein and asked to sing “Adir” to him. Sitting together with Rav Moshe were his two sons, the Roshei Yeshivos, Reb Dovid Feinstein and Reb Reuven Feinstein. Rav Moshe Feinstein enjoyed “Adir Adireinu” so much that he asked Benzion to sing it again.

It is with much joy, that Rabbi Klatzko now presents two of his sons, Luzy and Meyer to perform “Adir.” It is being released right before Shavuos, when we are mekabel Torah and say Adir in Musaf Shemona Esrei.
