by yossi September 02, 2012

Yaakov Menashe (35) invests most of his life studying Torah. During his free time he is “Nogeiah B’muzika” as a composer in various styles of Eastern music and is a keyboardist who plays many events in Israel.

Since childhood Yaakov has been drawn to music. The Talmud Torah he attended as a child, tapped that talent as he showed affluent to play the organ by ear and slowly progressed from there. The turning point in his musical career occurred at the age 17 when he was invited to play the keyboard in an event and since then has performed in dozens of events and celebrations.

Years later Menashe has grown immensely in his musical talent and composes his FIRST SONG. Meanwhile he establishes a home in Israel, gaining experience and melodies come to know the best singers and has conquer the ultra-Orthodox radio stations. Now he is trying something new, instead of having people sing his compositions, he will FINALLY sing his own and his voice will be heard. First with the song “Maoz Tzur” which won a handsome consideration among the general radio stations, and now a new single for the Yomim Tovim entitled “ Achot Ketana“.

The tefilla comes from davening of Rosh Hashanah and the song features new musical interpretation with amazing arrangements which were the idea of Avi Tal. Vocalists include Avi Tal and Yosef Hadar, chazzanim who’s singing adds a dimension of emotion and power. “The words and melody just pushed me to sing, but I’m not going become singer”, says Menashe, “I will hopefully continue writing and composing music for those singers who are more talented than I.”
