Friedman is also well-known in the world of the Yeshivos, and began his musical path while he was still a student. When he was 20 years old, he composed two songs for Michoel Streicher, which became standard songs even until today. He also composed a song for Efraim Mendelsohn.

Seventeen years ago, he began to perform at events and at weddings.
