New Yiddish Song Inspired by the RCCS Miracles Auction! “Baleichtin” by Yoely Greenfield: A Song to Fight Cancer

Over the past year, RCCS has celebrated, together with the families of three of its youngest patients, the remission of “three little miracles” — three young boys who battled a fight for their young lives…and be”H are now cancer-free.

This heart-warming news was the impetus and inspiration for “Baleichtin” a song that describes the arduous journey of a family whose child was stricken with cancer, r”l. This emotional and inspiring melody was sung by Yoely Greenfield and arranged by Leib Yaacov Rigler. It was originally composed in English (Illuminations) by Noam Kamelhar and Michoel Pruzansky, with the new Yiddish lyrics written by the well-known Yiddish composer and singer, Moti Illowitz. To top it off, beautiful choral arrangements were sung by the Yedidim Choir.

These stars in the world of Jewish music have combined their unique talents to produce a theme song to benefit the many hundreds of cancer patients annually being assisted by RCCS, the Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society.
