From a young age singer Nissim Baruch was involved in writing and composing French songs. Already by age 20 he had acquired the friendship of many of the record labels who wanted to sign him on deals, but when he became religious he decided to give that up and devote himself to properly training his voice. After getting married, he and wife who is also a musician, decided together to produce an album of Tehillim songs.
About 15 years ago the two moved to Israel and continued to produce music, and over the years released a few more albums, including an opera album. Simultaneously, Nissim also works as a voice teacher. Three of his students appear on the album, Yitzchak Meir, Yossi Margolis, and Binyamin Meir.
Now, he is releasing his 5th album called Tipot Shel Or. The album has multiple genres of music, including rock/pop and Chazzanus/classical music. His whole family took part in the album. His wife plays the piano and keyboards, his daughter Chana Leah plays the clarinet, and his son Yoel plays the Mediterranean guitars.
