HILLELKAPS – Reader Question

Although  JewishMusicReport is a place where you, the readers, normally come to check out articles and reviews, this time around I’m going to be trying something different. In order to help formulate future articles I’d like to enlist the help of all of our readers. I have a question that I’d like to present to all of you out there and I’d like everyone to answer below in the comment section in as little or as much depth as you want. From there, I am hoping to write another article based off of the answer I get.

The question is as follows: Which singer can you listen to completely nonstop without getting “figuratively” sick of listening to the same voice over and over?

I’m assuming we’ll get some MBD’s, Avraham Fried’s, and potentially some Baruch Levine’s but lets see what happens. It doesn’t need to be someone as famous as the 3 singers I just mentioned. It can be anyone from Shwekey to Aryeh Kunstler (I would venture to say that’s a pretty broad spectrum)

And being that I’m the one asking the question, I will answer it as well. My answer is Abie Rottenberg. For me he has one of the most consistent voices and I love the feeling he puts into his songs.

-DISCLAIMER- I am planning on going through each and every comment that gets written up on this post. I will however be skipping the ones that are negative and/or hateful towards any other comment or negative towards any singer/band. At JMR we promote healthy positive opinions. There’s a BIG difference between someone saying “I like so-and-so’s album more than ______” and “Wow that is the worst thing I ever heard, you should get your hearing checked if you like _____” Lets keep it peaceful. Thanks!
