Demian Kaus was born in Buenos aires, Argentina. He comes from a traditionalist Jewish house, mother Ashkenazim (Poland-Russia) father Sephardi (Siria),
Kaus returned to Tshuva by the age of 20 and considers himself as an Sephardi orthodox Jew. Demian is married with 2 children.
Demian has been making music since very early age, studying piano, then guitars, composition and arrangements, and even musical production and sound engineering.
When Kaus returned to serious observance of mitzvot, he started making music with religious content.
As a result of this, he released his debut album entitled “HASHIBENU“, made of music of his own from psukim from torah, tehilim and chazal.
Demian felt that in the religious music there aren’t many options, besides the classic sound which many people feel is lacking. That’s when Kaus decided to come and makes music for those people.
Observant people that want new age sound of pop and rock sounds, but don`t want to hear secular music.
Demian come from hearing lots of music like The Beatles, The Police, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, James Taylor, Oasis, Jamiroquai, Led Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, Genesis and all the greatest artist form last 50 years.
All of the music on this debut album was created by Demian. Played, arranged and recorded as well, by him in his studio in Buenos Aires.
For the “HASHIBENU” Demian played several instruments such as guitars, bass, drums, piano/keyboards, synthesizers, ukulele, mandolin, percussion and of course, vocals.
The goal is to give listeners some new refreshing sound to Jewish music and share his gifts with the people, because he loves making music.
Demian is currently working on his second album, writing and recording to release it in the close future.
