Paperback 5œ" x 6œ" JOURNEY TO JERUSALEM The historic meeting of the Minchas Eluzar of Munkacs zt"l to the Saba Kadisha zt"l by Rabbi Moshe Goldstein Minchas Eluzar, the gaon and tzaddik Harav Chaim Eluzar Shapira, was one of the greatest Chassidic rebbes of pre-War Europe. The Saba Kadisha, the 120-year old Sephardic gaon and tzaddik Harav Shlomo Eliezer Elefandri was living in Jerusalem after a distinguished career in Turkey and Iraq. No two Torah giants could be more dissimilar. Yet they longed to meet. In 1930, the meeting took place. For more than a week, the two great men met and spoke in an aura of holiness, affection, and respect. It was an awesome experience. Thanks to Rabbi Moshe Goldstein we have a contemporary account of the historic visit. Also includes a wealth of photos. |
