Chassidic singer Yoely Klein and composer Shaya Gross are releasing their new hit song Levakesh Rachamim. The song was composed originally by R’ Shlomo Carlebach with the powerful words from the Yomim Noraim. The successful pair heard the song in the Gross’ Succah for a spontaneous Kumzitz that turned into a 3 hour performance.
A few weeks ago the two of them visited R’ Kalman Goldshmidt, one of the important influences in the Breslev Chassidus that got terribly sick, and his condition worsened, but his Simcha never left him. They performed the song Levakeish Rachamim and the Hisorerus they felt made them decide to go into the studio to record it professionally for a refuah for Rav Goldschmidt.
Levakesh Rachamim is expertly arranged by arranger Yanky Cohen, together with some of the best musicians in Israel. The Malchus choir did the choral arrangements on the song.
The song obviously is for a refuah for R’ Klonimus Kalman Ben Rachel.
