Lipa and Benny to Sing Purim in Crown Heights

If you are a fan of Jewish Music and free concerts then you better make your way to Crown Heights this Purim! There will be two consecutive events Motzei Shabbos (Lipa) and Sunday Night (Benny Friedman) at Oholei Torah in Crown Heights.

Motzei Shabbos:

The entire Crown Heights community is invited to take part in a grand Purim Bash at Oholei Torah Ballroom on Motzei Shabbos, Purim from 9:00 pm to 12:00 am.

Popular singer Lipa Schmeltzerwill be entertaining, along with musician Pinny Ostreicher.

The event, organized by Bais Shmuel-Chabad, calls for the community to gather in unity to enjoy the Purim spirit ‘Ad D’Lo Yadah,’ with joy and dancing. will be exclusively broadcasting the event live for those who cannot participate in person, to COLlive viewers around the world.  The event is free of charge. There will be separate sections for men and women.

Sunday Night:

The annual Crown Heights Purim Seudah will take place this year on Sunday, February 28 – Adar 14 at the Oholei Torah ballroom.

Megila reading will begin at 4 PM and a festive full-course meal will be served at 5 PM for families and singles – free of charge.

Funded by private individuals for some 17 years, the meal will be dedicated to the late Shimshon Stockand his wife Martha, who headed the Chevra Simchas Shabbos V’Yom Tov (CSSY). Benny Friedmanwill be singing to live music.

Many residents join the singing, dancing and a community Farbrengen after eating in their own homes. Seating will be separate, with men on one side and women on the other. To RSVP and for more information contact
