Video Interview: Moshe Hecht

by Sheichet August 19, 2009

The unique music of Jewish folk-rock singer Moshe Hecht draws inspiration from reggae, classic rock, folk music and Chassidic melodies. His lyrics are poetic, honest, and confident, complimented by a voice that displays a depth, wisdom and passion well beyond his years. Moshe considers music a tool for communicating and elevating ideas and lessons. His barrier-breaking live performances are a dynamic interplay of singing, storytelling, insight and humor that have already warmed audiences of every calling. The dream, he says, is “to inspire people to connect with their roots in a natural yet powerful way.” Moshe is currently in Seattle recording tracks for his debut album, which being produced by 7 time Grammy winner and Emmy nominee Steven Ray Allen . He will be touring the States upon the release of his album at the end of 2009.

In this studio interview, Moshe opens up about what makes him tick. You will also get a taste of clips from some songs off the album being revealed for the very first time. We even managed to get a few words with the great Steven Ray Allen. Enjoy!
