Wrong messages about marriage.
In this film, people question Mali's ability to get married due to her autism. People with autism can get married, but they ought to for the right reasons. Mali marries an unseen man because she wants to be married like everyone else. So it's not for love, not because she wants to start a family, but due to pure peer pressure. And the man she's dating isn't even shown on screen, despite rightfully being the deuteragonist. It is done for a reason, but it also makes no sense.
