Great!
Amazing album, although I was disappointed that Professor Goldberg's remarks were kept in the recording- my great-great grandparents lived in Pletzelshtut at the time, and to completely question the veracity of this account is insulting to our family history.
Witty Learning
A funny way for kids to learn hilchos lashon hora (and for adults to enjoy at the same time). Meir Ben-Dayan contribution a big bonus.
Impressive!
I've tried learning Sefer Chofetz Chaim many times before, but each time, the halachos get me confused. My kids listen to the hotline, and the first time I heard Rav Pletzelheimer explain a halacha, I was hooked. It's amazing that such complex halachos are so understandable now, and in such an enjoyable way. It's on repeat in my house, and the halachos of Apei T'losa were never so clear! even my 5 year old knows that Apei T'losa doesn't mean 3 noses. (You have to listen to understand ;)) As Rabbi Zaftig put it, it's a way to teach the halachos in a clear and fun way that even adults can understand! A truly worthwhile buy.
An amazing Experience!
This is not just 'another one' of the Shemiras Halashon series already out there. Each episode is a hilarious, short story (they get longer and funnier as it goes on), which clearly bring out the halachah written in each siman in the Sefer Chafetz Chaim. The characters are unforgettable and the great sound effects really draw you into each episode. You only need to listen once or twice to be able to easily answer the real-life halachah questions included in the PDF with the CD. One time, a relative near me was wondering aloud if saying a certain thing was considered Lashon Hara. I had just heard the episode that deals with that exact topic, and was able to tell them on the spot how and why it was Lashon Hara! This album is one of a kind, and we're looking forward to the second collection!
